Frequently Asked Questions

WayliLoc uses your phone's GPS to share your location with connected people. The app sends location updates at intervals you choose — every 10 or 15 minutes (configurable in settings). You can see everyone's latest position on a map. In SOS mode, tracking switches to real-time so others can see your exact location as it changes. Location sharing only works between people who have both accepted the connection.

Yes. Your location data is encrypted and stored securely. Only family members you've approved can see your location. We never sell your data to third parties. You can read our full Privacy Policy for more details about how we protect your information.

Open the WayliLoc app, go to the "People" tab, and tap "Add Member." You can invite anyone — family, friends, or colleagues — by sharing an invitation link or entering their email. They will need to install the app and accept your invitation to start sharing locations.

The SOS button is an emergency feature and the only mode with real-time tracking. When pressed, it instantly sends a notification to all connected people with the user's live location. Unlike regular interval updates, SOS activates continuous real-time tracking so others can see exactly where you are and where you're moving. Useful for emergencies, feeling unsafe, or when you need to be found quickly.

You can delete your account from the app's Settings menu, or visit our Delete Account page for step-by-step instructions. When you delete your account, all your personal data and location history are permanently removed from our servers.

WayliLoc offers a free trial period so you can try all features before committing. On iOS the free trial is 3 days, on Android it's 3 days as well. During the trial you get full access to all features — location sharing, SOS alerts, location history, and notifications. After the trial ends, the subscription you selected will be charged automatically. You can cancel anytime before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
